Keep The Oven Door Shut!

Keep The Oven Door Shut!
Be alert and on guard; stand firm in your faithI Cor. 16:13 (Amp)

• Preheat oven to 350° F
• Bake for 45 minutes
• Keep the oven door shut until Done!

Any good cook will tell you that you can’t keep opening and closing the oven door and expect your recipe to come out just right. Every time you open the door, you let some of the heat out. You can either prolong the cooking process by doing that, or you could end up with a wet, doughy mess.

We can apply this same principle spiritually. Let’s say the oven REPRESENTS God. The food inside the oven REPRESENTS what we’re believing God for; opening the oven door REPRESENTS worrying, and the heat inside the oven REPRESENTS our faith.

                                     Door open—heat escapes!

When we pray and cast our cares on God, we have to TRUST that He will work everything out. Either we TRUST Him, or we don’t.

Our Problems Are Too Important to Worry About!  Huh?

We have to have enough Faith in God to know, however, He chooses to work it out; it’s going to be for our good, Romans 8:28. I know that’s easier said than done. We like to nit-pick and put our thoughts on how it should be done. We Can’t Micromanage God! We have to TRUST Him, and LEAVE the SITUATION ALONE. The hands-off approach develops our faith.

One day I was trying to figure a situation out, and God put in my spirit, Anything that I don’t tell you, is None of Your Business!”

Usually when someone tells us that, we feel insulted. But, when God tells us, it’s none of our business, we should feel relieved. He’s Got It! When we try to figure things out, we get confused, and confusion is not of God, I Cor. 14:33.  Therefore, what should we do in the meantime, when we can’t even get a sniff that something is cooking?

1.     We should focus on the things that concern God, and He will take care of the things that concern us. Matthew 6:33 says, … seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

  2.   Walk in love. Being a blessing to someone is a good way to keep our
mind off the situation. The more we concentrate on the problem, the more likely the enemy has to manipulate our thoughts.

3.    When we catch ourselves worrying, we can call on Jesus, sing victory songs, quote Scriptures, or clean out a closet. Do whatever it takes to…

The Boxing Ring

   The Boxing Ring
Fight the good fight of faith…, I Timothy 6:12.

        • Oh, what about this?
        • Oh, what about that?
        • Woe Is Me!

For us to worry over something that we have already prayed about dilutes   our faith. That’s why it’s dangerous to entertain, even for a moment, the devil’s illegal suggestions (worries). God gave Moses a rod and sent him forth! God gave us FAITH and sent us forth! Moses’ rod was packed with SUPERNATURAL POWER, and so is our FAITH.

We can’t be in FAITH and worry at the same time. We are warned against being double minded, James 1:8. In Luke 22:32 Jesus said, But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not…  Does that mean fear and unbelief can cause our faith to fail? We cannot afford to casually let the devil scare us into giving up our faith, the weapon that will cause him the most harm. What solider would willfully give his ammunition to the adversary?

I’m learning to treat worry and fear like deadly left hooks. Every time I notice that I’m in fear, I cast that blow out of my mind IMMEDIATELY. However, the devil wants me to believe that if I don’t worry about the problem, nothing is going to be done about it. That’s a lie straight from the pit. Worrying solves NOTHING!

And who of you by worrying and being anxious can add one unit of
measure (cubit) to his stature or to the span of his life? Matthew 6:27 (Amp).

I’m in the Boxing Ring right now. The devil has punched me below the belt. He wants me to throw in the towel. On the contrary, the straight right upper cut that I’m using on him is—FAITH: I will not let worry and fear torment me. I will lean and trust God to Fix It.

Yes, it’s a struggle to keep my mind from worrying, but that resistance against the enemy is building my Faith Muscles. Fight the good fight of faith…, 1 Timothy 6:12.

                                  In The Boxing Ring!
We CANNOT go Toe-to-Toe with the devil. That’s why The Lord is the Third Man in the Ring. We might be down, but we’re not OUT. We might be on the Ropes, but We’ll Roll with the Punches. The devil will give us a One-Two Punch, but GOD WILL KNOCK Him OUT!

The FIRST Responder

                                                  The FIRST Responder

                • Fire
                • Police
                • Paramedics
                JESUS!!!

Of course call 911 when tragedy strikes. HOWEVER, while you are reaching for the phone, call JESUS. Yes, the rescuers are on their way, but JESUS is the First Responder. He is already there with: SUPREME POWER, SAVING GRACE, UNMERITED MERCY, and PERFECT WISDOM.

God is a very PRESENT HELP in Trouble, Psalm 46:1.

James 5:14 says, “Is there any sick among you?” James 5:15 continues, “And the prayer of faith shall save the sick…”

My question is: How come Christians aren’t seeing MORE people being healed miraculously? Is it because people aren’t sick?

No, I don’t think that’s it. Mental and physical disorders are widespread. Television commercials and magazine ads are making a fortune with all the ailments we see in the world today. So, why aren’t we seeing more healing taking place?

Could it be because of II Chronicles 7:14-15?
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their evil ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Or could it be because of Isaiah 55:8?

Some things we are not going to know the answers to. Nevertheless, we must still make sure we are doing everything we are asked to do which includes having UNWAVERING FAITH.

Will The First Responder find your FAITH in place?
