Don’t Unpack—Yet!

                                            Don’t Unpack—Yet!
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: II Timothy 4:7.

• Rest stops…
• Overnight lodging…
• Are We There Yet?

Whenever you arrive at your destination, it’s routine to unpack your suitcase and settle in. But when you arrived on earth, your journey just started. So, Don’t Unpack—Yet!

Since the Bible says we are not of this world, John 17:14, and that we are strangers here, Psalm 119:19; why can’t we just keep going until we reach our final destination? Why Stop Here?

We stopped here because there’s some mechanical work that must be done in order for us to make this a successful trip. For instance, all the appropriate wires must be properly connected to the Engine. He is the vine and we are the branches, John 15:5. We must have fresh oil to offset combustion. He anointed our head with oil, Psalms 23:5.

Headlights must be in good working order to light the way. In John 8:12 it says, that He is the light of the world. Spark plug wires must be ready to transport high-voltage. God will give His angels charge over us, Psalm 91:11. High Powered fuel must be in tank. The word of God is quick and powerful, Hebrews 4:12, and the brakes must be ready to stop and be still. Be still, and know that I am God, Psalm 46:10.
Since this journey is unfamiliar to us, there will be patches of unexpected rough roads: Roadblocks, Detours, and Dead End Streets. The devil will tell us he knows a way around all that. He will tell us everybody goes his way, and that we will get to our destination much sooner following his shortcuts.  As a matter of fact, he will tell us that we have already arrived at our destination. He wants us to believe that this is the end of our journey; therefore, we should live our life in the fast lane. He’s Lying!!!!  Don’t Unpack—Yet! He wants to get us alone on some dark road off the Main Highway so he can KILL us.
When you run into Roadblocks, Detours, and Dead End Streets, don’t worry. Roadside Assistance is Available 24/7. God said He will never fail us nor forsake us, Joshua 1:5.  Just get the assistance you need, and be on your way.
                                 Remember: Don’t Unpack—Yet!

God’s Energy Bill

                                                 God’s Energy Bill

• Bribes…
• Willing & Dealing…
• Favors…

Our salvation is God’s free gift to us. We can’t earn it or buy it. We just accept it by Faith. But, for the POWER of God to operate in our life; it will cost us. We might think our home Energy Bill is high, but just wait until we see how much it will cost to operate God’s Power line. His Power Is Not Free. It won’t cost us money, just a Dedicated Life!

Can you imagine how even more corrupt the world would be if we could buy God’s Anointing with money or favors? Think about all the bribes and under the table deals that would take place. You might think things are bad now, but it would be catastrophic if the Anointing was for sell.

That’s the good thing about God’s Power, it’s available to everyone who is willing to live a life dedicated to Him, rich or poor. The playing field is leveled off. So, the question is: How bad do we want it?

What does it mean it will cost us our life?
The apostle Paul said in I Corinthians 15:31, I die daily.
We can no longer allow our flesh to control us. We can’t follow the world and its value system. We have to daily submit to the will of God. There will be times when this is a hard mountain to climb.

When you live a compromised life, expect your power to be Shut-Off.

How bad do you want it?

Show Your I.D.

                                                   Show Your I.D.

•Driver’s license…
• Passport…
• Badge…

Hopefully as Christians, our ID can be seen before we say a word. The people we encounter every day should be able to tell there’s something different about us. If they can’t…well, then there might be a problem.

When we take on the ID of a Christian, we are set apart from the world. In John 17:14 it says that we are in this world, but not a part of it. The apostle Paul said in Ephesians 5:1 that we should be imitators of God. Deuteronomy 14:2 says we are a peculiar people. Matthew 5:17 tells us that we are the light of the world. With all that said, there’s no way we can blend in and be unnoticed. If God had wanted us to go unnoticed, He would not have put a Bright Shining Light inside us. Hmmm!

Our ID can be obviously seen in some situations more than others. For example, when we are faced with fear, the first thing we do is Pray. We get our Peace and Comfort from God, Luke 12:7. Our ID is seen when we forgive because we know vengeance belongs to the Lord, Romans 12:19. When trouble  strikes, we take it to God, I Peter 5:7. When we are faced with temptation, we pray and receive strength from God, Psalm 27.

God made us the way He did so the world can see and inquire what
makes us so different. Therefore, we must be conscious of the fact that we
        are God’s Representatives on earth.

May I see your ID please?
