                                     Dressed to Kill

         

            • Dressed to the nines. . .

            • Sharp-dresser. . .

            • Fashionably correct. . .

         

         There’s one posh suit of clothes tailors can’t design, boutiques don’t sell, and stores don’t carry. Its exceptional and aristocratic style won’t get you on the best dressed list. I’m afraid it doesn’t meet the “requirements” for Red Carpet glam either. Even though when you wear it, you are Dressed to Kill. There’s Only One Place You Can Find This Extraordinary Suit: Ephesians 6:14-18.  
Let’s see what happens when we live our life without each important piece.

    Without The Belt of Truth, the whole suit is going to fall off!

   Without The Breastplate of Righteousness, we have No suit.

   Without The Sandals of Peace, we tread on the enemy’s

   territory.

    Without The Shield of Faith, we have no defense against the enemy.  

     Without The Helmet of Salvation, once again we have No suit.

     Without Prayer, we might think we’re dressed, but we’re like the

    king in “The Emperor’s New Clothes.”

              

 Our suit must be worn always and not just on special occasions. If we only  pull it out the closet every now and then, we might find demonic moths have gotten to it.

Why is this so dangerous? The devil can strike at any given moment. The time when we need our prayers answered, we might find out that we are not Dressed to Kill the plans of the enemy. But instead, stripped naked, and the threads that should connect our faith to God’s POWER are not there.  

The upkeep of this suit is a 24/7 job. Since the enemy works nonstop, we must stay dressed for battle at all times. When we stay suited-up, we can spot moths immediately. We can then stop this destructive damage at its onset. When damage occurs, and it will from time to time, go to God. He will make Repairs on the SPOT.

                                                      Have faith in God, Mark 11:22.

• OUT.

   It’s the bottom of the ninth. Last chance to score with two outs. The Christian is in the batter’s box. The devil is on the mound. He’s pitching his best curve ball, knuckle ball, fast ball, and every other foul ball he can throw. Onlookers are standing—sighing with every swing. The moment is TENSE. Here it comes. The 3:2 pitch. . .

When trouble strikes and we feel cornered, this is not the time to take matters into our own hands. We can’t fight this evil spirit with physical weapons. He would like for us to waste time trying; but, we wrestle not against flesh and blood. This is a spiritual battle (Ephesians 6:12). SPIRIT vs. spirit. Psalm 55:22 tells us to cast our burdens on the Lord.

Our help comes from Heaven. It doesn’t matter if it’s a family problem, financial problem, health problem, people problem, etc. What’s impossible with man is possible with God (Matthew 19:26). FAITH in God is our Answer. Nothing is too hard for God (Jeremiah 32:17b). All we have to do is humbly submit to His ways. He will direct us out of our tight fixes (Proverbs 3:6). We might think it’s too late or all hope is gone. But, that could be God stretching our faith. He’s Always On Time. God can change a situation in a FLASH!

The crowd gasps as the 3:2 pitch heads for the… Wait a Minute!

                                   What Happened?

                       A Pinch Hitter has been called in.

God has given His angels charge over us; they will bear us up in their hands  (Psalm 91:11-12). 

  That Ball is……………………………………………………. GONE.

                                          Home Run!

Your Suddenly is in Route

                        Your Suddenly is in Route

                         For we walk by faith, not by sight (II Corinthians 5:7).

• Airmail…

• Ground mail…

• Express mail…

• Email…

   Your Suddenly is in Route. Knowing that the answer to your prayer is in route is encouraging news. Looking at it from that perspective gives you hope that at any given moment you could receive a SUDDENLY. This annihilates fear and doubt.   

In Daniel 10:13, Daniel prayed for twenty-one days. God’s angel told him that his prayer was heard the first day, but it was blocked by the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia. Then Michael, one of the archangels, came to the rescue. The answer to Daniel’s prayer was in route from day one.

   When you order merchandise from a store and have to wait for it to be delivered, you’re not worried and wondering if it’s coming. You might be excited and count the days for its arrival, but you know it’s coming. You should treat your prayers with that same expectancy.

Think about this. It takes tens of thousands of years for light from some stars in our galaxy to reach us. Wow! Be thankful you won’t have to wait that long before you see the light on your situation.

Pray, then continue living your life with the confidence that it’s already done. Know with assurance that God is working behind the scenes. The question now is: Do you trust God enough to wait?

Psalm 37:7 says, “Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him…”  In Micah 7:7 it says, “Therefore I will look unto the Lord, I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.” And, I John 5:15 says, “And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”   

Being aware that Your Suddenly is in Route is definitely a good way to think when trying to connect your faith to The POWER Source. This supernatural CONNECTION moves “faith” from just being religious verbiage into the Reality Realm.    

            I’m waiting for something right now. I’m encouraged to know:

                                             It’s In Route!
