Week 73: The Everlasting Arms

                                   THE Everlasting Arms
God is faithful I Corinthians 1:9

Are you tensed, stressed, or just burnt out? Do you feel nervous and rigidity like you are falling apart? Sometimes I feel like a car that’s running without oil: metal grinding against metal.

Those are the times when God’s Everlasting Arms are there to draw us closer to Him. The Warmth of His LOVE melts the arctic pains of life. There’s not a pit so deep that His Arms can’t reach. There’s not a trial so tough that His Arms can’t break. There’s not a sting that His Arms can’t soothe. Nothing can snatch us out of THE Everlasting Arms. God’s Arms are always there to hold us.

With all the distractions we face throughout the day, we might forget that God is there. But, He can never forget about us. He has us engraved on the palms of His Hands. We are before Him always (Isaiah 49:16). God’s faithfulness is there to assist and comfort. He knows about the complicated details of what we are going through. He knows we get tired, bewildered, and in trouble.

When problems hit, we can cozy up and draw from God’s Perfect Wisdom and Unconditional Love. He will carry us in His bosom, (Isaiah 40:11). All we have to do is let go and collapse in Him. He’s got everything under control. People who don’t know God only have arms of flesh comforting them. If the burden gets too heavy, who knows, arms of flesh might drop them. But, those in Christ have the Arms of God supporting them. Arms that will carry them and their burdens (Psalm 55:22).
Are you tired? Cuddle up in The Everlasting Arms!

Week 72: The Impossibility Specialist

                             The Impossibility Specialist
…be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. Matthew 9:22

• There’s no hope. . .
• Nothing is working. . .
• Just give up!

If you have a chronic condition, you would probably go to a specialist. Someone who has extensively studied the latest correctional methods specific to your area of concern. But, if you need the IMPOSSIBLE done that extends far beyond the intellect of man, then you should seek the One Who specializes in Impossibilities—God.

Do we block miracles because of unbelief? How can God show this world all that He can do if we keep blocking His hand with doubt? God needs to shine His glory through us. However, as soon as the plot thickens, as soon as the plot goes zigzag, as soon as the plot is set up perfectly for the miraculous; many times we jump scared and lose faith.
God is the One Who created the heavens and earth, parted the Red Sea, made water flow from a rock, made a donkey talk, clothed Himself in human flesh, turned water into wine, raised the dead, cast out demons, died on a cross, yet He lives. Talk about impossibilities—Whew!

Whatever, unbearable, horrifying problem we might face, God is the Specialist. Whether it’s our health, our children, our finances, etc., He Has Already Handled It! All we have to do is make sure we do our part by obeying His Word (II Chronicles 7:14-15) and stay in faith. Now take comfort in knowing:
You have Taken it to the Impossibility Specialist!

Week 71: Back-Up Plan Activated

                                Back Up-Plan—Activated
                                                     God is faithfulI Corinthians 1:9

• Plan A. . .
• Plan B. . .
• Plan Z. . .

Whenever we are in a bind and all our self-made plans are exhausted, God has a back-up plan. He’s just waiting for us to stop spinning our wheels, and trust Him. God might make us wait until the ninth hour, but every waiting hour develops our faith. God knows what He’s doing, and He will activate His plan at the right time.

About two weeks ago, I had a situation and didn’t see God’s Hand in it until the last day before calamity. We have to come to realize that making us wait until the last minute is one of God’s more popular strategies.

However, sometimes we do see immediate results. We can all agree that there was a time when the three Hebrew boys, faced with the fiery furnace, needed God’s back-up plan activated—IMMEDIATELY. When Daniel spent the night in the lions’ den, he demonstrated not only the need for a back-up plan, but one that would stay activated all night long. If that stone hadn’t hit Goliath in the right spot, at the right time; Goliath would still be laughing.

Throughout history God’s people have faced atrocious near death experiences. Experiences that far surpasses the most fertile imaginations. Each time, however, God’s faithfulness stood firm as a beacon shining brightly in a misty fog. If we keep our eyes on God, He will guide us through to the other side of our impossible situations.

Although, it’s going to take eyes of faith to see His Guiding Light through all the fear and mess. Pilots flying airplanes should be experts at letting go and relying on something outside of themselves. When they look out and can’t see anything for all the cloud cover, they might as well have their eyes closed. They have to depend on the plane’s instruments to locate their whereabouts.

We have to rely on our faith in God for our whereabouts. There are times when we are just as lost as lost can be. That’s when we have to know: At the perfect time, God’s Back-up Plan will be—Activated!
