Week 86: Justified Sin?

                                       Justified Sin? 

 A faithful witness will not lie, but a false witness breathes out falsehoods. Proverbs 14:5 (AMP)       

         • Immorality. . .

         • Iniquity . . .                     

         • Transgression. . .                     

                    

             A friend of mine said that it’s alright to cheat on your income tax—because God doesn’t mind when we cheat the devil. Hmmm! Don’t think for a minute you can outsmart the devil playing his game. He’s a deceiving spirit. Once you open Pandora’s Box, things will get out of control—FAST.

Compromise is the blade that the enemy uses to skillfully trim down our sense of what’s right and wrong. If we are not careful, we’ll renegotiate our morals and take on his wicked way of thinking: good is bad, bad is good, and cheating is just part of the game. It says in Isaiah 5:20, Woe to those who call evil good and good evil…
                 
                   Is it ever alright to justify prejudice and unforgiveness? 

The aftermath of the devil’s immoral nature can be seen all over the world. For instance in the media nothing is off limits, the judicial system doesn’t automatically mean justice will be served, and sadly to say some churches have stamped an approval on some things that were once seen as an abomination. What changed? Who changed?

We know Who didn’t change. For I am the Lord, I do not change… (Malachi 3:6 AMP)  

                     How much faith would we have in God if

             man could manipulate Him into changing His Word?

                                    

People can try to excuse their selfish, greedy, wicked desires all they want, but—

                                      God is Holy! 

                                    He Will Never Justify Sin.

Week 85: Is Pink a Safe Color?

                                  Is Pink a Safe Color?

              Beloved, do not put your faith in every spirit… I John 4:1 (AMP)

• Hue. . .

• Tint. . .

• Pigment. . .

 If the color red is too intense, tone it down with a little white. If white is too bland, liven it up with a little red. Now you have the color pink. Pink is white-washed red. It’s more red than white, but still it’s a blend—a mix.

As a Christian, are you a true color, or are you a blend? Let’s say the color red represents a no tolerant believer, and white represents a non-believer. Is the color red too restrictive for the way you want to live?  On the other hand, do you feel white is too far gone in the opposite direction?

                   

                          Is Pink a Safe Color for a Christian?      

   

Having enough faith to believe for the impossible can be hard under the best conditions, but when we have a guilty conscience about anything, it interferes with our confidence to believe.

       

      Pink isn’t a pretty color when trying to get a prayer through.

I would love to see exploding faith. Miraculous things happening. That will take the color red, not pink. Pink is too weak to spark any flames.

                                Obedience Feeds Faith!

Everyone who calls themselves a Christian is not obeying God. They might be a “nice” person—a pillar of society, but if they are not submitting to the guidelines in the Rulebook, they are some shade of pink. It’s called selective obedience.

I guess it depends on how they feel on a particular day as to what they will select to obey—or not. My folks didn’t go for selective obedience when I was growing up. I’m sure yours didn’t either.

                                 

It says in Revelation 3:15-16 that if we are neither cold nor hot, Jesus will spit us out of His mouth. Or, if I may use the color pink analogy:

Week 84: Dangerously Low!

                                  Dangerously Low! 

                                For we walk by faith, not by sight. II Corinthians 5:7

• Almost Empty. . . .

• Almost Stripped. . .

• Wiped Out!

           When the phrase dangerously low is used to describe anything—it’s not good. Whether it’s describing your blood pressure, your fuel gauge, your bank account, or your faith; it’s not comforting to be in the dangerously low range.     

         Since life is unpredictable; we never know when we’ll need faith to get a prayer through. When problems hit, or when we want some great wonderful thing to happen; that’s not the time to waste mouthing some meaningless prayer.

There’s nothing wrong with having someone pray for you, or agree in prayer with you. The Bible tells us to do so, for instance: 1Thessalonians 5:11, and James 5:16. But, it’s not a good idea to put all the responsibility, all the time, on someone else to get all your prayers answered.

                                      

                           That person's faith gauge might be

                               leaning on empty—or empty.

           If you have more faith in other people's prayers, that’s a signal that your faith level is dangerously low. You have to have confidence that you can get prayers through for yourself. We can’t please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6).

You wouldn’t feel relaxed on a dark abandoned highway with your fuel gauge tilting on empty. You shouldn’t be relaxed living without one of the greatest weapons you have against the enemy—an effective prayer life.                                 

                         

 Even though we know God can, our faith gauge only starts to register when we believe: God has. . .
