                                  I Want Results!

                              Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not. . . Matthew 21:21

• Solutions!

• Answers!

People use imitation products all the time from fake furs to artificial cheese. Some of these off-brand commodities might fool the untrained eye or unsophisticated palate. BUT faith—that’s a whole different story. Anybody can spot real faith. Real faith gets Results!

                   How much is unbelieving faith worth?

I don’t want to be deceived into being satisfied with just having a form of faith—talking about it, singing about it, whooping and hollering about it, but in the end the manifestations are missing. Why settle for posturing when the real thing is available?

God wants His people to get results. That’s why He told us: 

•The just shall live by faith. (Hebrews 10:38)

•But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. (James 1:6)

•All things are possible to him that believes. (Mark 9:23)

•Without faith it’s impossible to please God. (Hebrews 11:6)

•O you of little faith, why did you doubt? (Matthew 14:31)  

Now we know all the prayers we pray aren’t going to be answered. Some of those prayers, if the truth be known, shouldn’t be answered. We don’t always know what to pray for. (Romans 8:26) 

But, that’s not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about the prayers that are in God’s will, and we aren’t seeing those prayers answered. As I said before, the reason I started Paulette Talks Faith is because it’s an excellent platform for me to develop my faith by keeping me faith conscious. 

                      Faith development is a lifelong endeavor.

I think we should always work on developing our faith. Having faith is fundamental for Christians. It’s the main key to unlocking God’s promises. Can we even believe there is a God without faith? I’m going to continue to develop my faith because,                         

                                      I want—RESULTS!

Week 95: Do My Life!

                                             Do My Life!

                  …Jesus, Who is the Leader and Source of our faith… Hebrews 12:2 (AMP)

• Manage. . .

• Direct. . .

• Govern. . .

            I loved spending mornings on my patio watching how God synchronized nature’s goings-on so perfectly. It all started early spring when gusts of wind knew the exact time to start blowing Maple tree seeds around. The seeds’ aerodynamic casings were nothing less than ingenious. It was as though each seed had its own private helicopter twirling it in the wind.

Then just like clockwork when the Maple trees were finished and the winds calmed down, the Cottonwood trees started scattering their seeds. It was really humorous when I saw a dab of cotton on each teeny-tiny seed so the wind could gently transport it. God has a practical solution for every situation. 

                  

                          If God put that much thought into distributing seeds,

                                what more has the Great Creator done for us?

     Putting our faith in God will unlock breathtaking possibilities.

 God is the Great Engineer Who programmed us with everything we need in order to carry out the good plan He has for our lives. However, we do have to work the plan. It won’t come by wishing and hoping. We shouldn’t be afraid if things should go awry; being the great Engineer that He is, He covered all that when He said that all things will work together for them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28) 

 How much does our freedom of choice alter God’s good plan?

                                             Just asking.

Who am I to try and plan my life without first consulting God? I can’t see but a few feet in front of me; God sees all the way into eternity. I have only a shallow understanding of the moment I’m living in right now. God knows my beginning and my end. I don’t know about the hidden agendas working for me and those against me. God knows about those agendas and can interpret the motives behind them. He will give me a plan of action.

Our body is an incredible piece of art. Each part performs a distinct function. God knows its capabilities. He equipped it to achieve—like He did for those seeds. I don’t want to miss the great things He has planned for me, and I know you don’t want to miss it either.   

  Just to be on the safe side, I wrote on an index card: Do My Life. I taped the card onto a wall in my bedroom where I can see it throughout the day as a reminder not to interfere, but cooperate! Let God do—

                                          Whatever!

Week 94: Schoolyard Bullies

                                     Schoolyard Bullies

                                     Above all, taking the shield of faith. . . Ephesians 6:16

• Tyrants. . .

• Tormenters. . .

• Teasers. . .

  When I worked in the school system, I noticed that the bullies were the most insecure students. The boys didn’t dominate this domain; the girls were some of the roughest ones. Those ruffians had to play the tough role in order to gain undeserved respect. The other students were intimidated by the warriors’ growl. Whatever the tormenters wanted: money, supplies, toys; they got it. 

However, it was always funny to see those quiet, inconspicuous students who didn’t fall for the bullies’ act. What was it about those unpretentious students that warded off those predators? It was the confidence which they had within themselves. They knew their self-worth. They knew who they were, and they knew who the bullies—were not!

I know because I was one of those discreet students. I got along with the “nice” girls, and the “rowdy” ones. I know now that my confidence was anchored by the prayers of my parents and others.

We should view the devil like the schoolyard bully. But, this bully we’re dealing with now has up the ante.

The devil is not after our lunch money; he’s after our soul for keeps.

He’s like a vicious wounded animal. He’s filled with rage and fury. He knows his time is short. (Revelation 12:12) He will bestow his wrath on whomever he can devour. (I Peter 5:8)

NEVERTHELESS by faith, we have to take our position; let the enemy know that we know who we are in Christ. We are not moved by his roar. He only walks around like a lion, but we have the Lion of Judah inside us.

                             You tell me, which one has authority: 
                                         A pretend lion, or a Real Lion? 

                                        Go bully someone else.

                                          It ain’t workin’ here!
