Week 160: Unclaimed Victories!

     Unclaimed Victories!

                                   O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?  Psalm 14:31

         • Untaken. . .

 • Available. . .

    • Unfilled. . .

       When I asked God what to write, that’s when He gave me the idea: unclaimed victories! My response was okay, but how do I start. God told me to start by looking at my own life. That jolt of reality made me take a hard look at what victories have I not claimed? Oh, my goodness!

      Quite often we pray and pray, and keep on praying never having enough faith to go and claim the merchandise. Faith is the claim ticket that is needed to release the goods.

                                           No ticket—No release!    

Worries, fears, and doubts are used to distract us. Those emotions keep our minds on overload so we won’t receive what has already been granted. That’s why it’s important for us to guard our thoughts so we won’t buy into the enemy’s lies of hopelessness and despair. 

A positive mind will let us know, if we prayed in the will of God, then just wait until the manifestation comes. It might take a minute for all the details to be worked out, but we shouldn’t lose our faith in the meantime. (See Week 24: This—Might Take A Minute!)

There is something humbling about waiting before the Lord. It builds a relationship with Him. Instead of it weakening our faith, it strengthens our trust in God. Waiting in the confidence of God proves to the enemy that he doesn’t control our thoughts.  

How to claim your victories:

• Thank God for the victory, before you see the answer.

• Don’t contradict your prayers with negative talk.

• Walk in the confidence of God—that it’s done.

• Do an action(s) to let your mind and the devil know, that you know 
               that it’s done.  

              Take an inventory of the prayers that you have already prayed. Some of them might be waiting on you to claim them. And, the ones that are not answered—yet, look for the small clouds that will tell you they’re on the way. (See Week 151: A Very Small Cloud)

                              Don’t forget to claim your VICTORIES!

Week 159: On Loan

                                      On Loan 

         • Loan- to give with the understanding that it must be returned.

 • Steward- a person who is in charge of another person’s property.

    •Tool- an gadget for doing work.

     God made us stewards over the skills, abilities, gifts and talents that He has loaned us. He loaned them to us so that we can use them to bring Him glory while we’re on earth.  

In Matthew 25:14,15, Jesus tells a parable about a man who entrusted his wealth to his servants while he went on a trip. Two of the servants invested well, but the third servant, out of fear, just buried the wealth. When the master returned, he was so upset with the third man, that he called him lazy and gave his portion away. Just like in the parable, we have been entrusted with God’s wealth.

God’s overall plan is to restore the world back to its original state before the fall of man. Within the time that each person is on earth, they will have a very important part to play in this plan. God made sure that everybody has all the tools that they will need in order to do the job that He has called them to do.  

Who are we to say if our contribution is of any worth? Or, how will we justify the fact that we didn’t feel like doing our part? Everyone has a choice but, do we have an option? Hmmm!

By and by; in the end of it all, the loans will be called in, and we will have to give an account to the Master.  

                          Let’s never forget why we are here!

Week 158: Suppose it Rains?

Suppose it Rains?

• Suppose this happens. . .

• Suppose that happens. . .

• What if, what if, what if. . .

A few years ago, God inspired me to plan this special event. After everything had been arranged: the date was set; the location was secured; the food had been ordered; the entertainment was booked; the guests had been invited—Oh no!

                         Suppose it rains?

If it had rained, the whole affair would have been ruined. All of my thorough planning would have been for naught. That’s when God put this in my spirit:

“You take care of the things that you can do; the weather is My business.”   

What a powerful principle to live your life by. Think of all the headaches you could avoid by staying out of God’s business. The devil knows when you do meaningless works of the flesh, or when you worry about things that you can’t do anything about; it rips your faith to shreds. Just do your part.

                                     Don’t go outside the margins!

Pay close attention when your mind is bombarded with: stress, confusion, aggravation, and worry. Those could be signs that you are trying to do something that you have no business doing.        

    Whirlwinds of frustration are blowing all kinds of red flags.

STOP—————pray for God to show you your place in the matter. Then, pray for God’s will to be done—and Mean It. Listen for God’s instructions—do the part that He wants you to do. Once you are doing your part, leave the rest to God.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)

In conclusion, when you find yourself thinking too hard, take an inventory of your thoughts and actions.

Is this something that I can do, or is this something that only God can do?
