Week 162: Keep on Growing

                                    Keep on Growing

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. Romans 1:17.

• Maturing. . .

• Flourishing. . .

• Developing. . . 

                                      Growing, Growing, Growing, Growing. . .

   Words like Awesome, Amazing, and Marvelous cannot describe Who God is. As a matter of fact, there are no earthly words that can adequately come even close to explaining the Grandeur of God’s Majesty.

                         The extensiveness of God will explode the human brain.

It’s as though the human brain has an automatic shut-off valve that stops it from entering into the mysterious territory of the FULLNESS of God. As long as we are in these human bodies, we won’t be able to comprehend His massiveness. However, we should want to know as much as we are allowed to know at a given stage in our lives. As we learn and grow in God, He will continue to open Himself up to us. When we fall in love with God, we will want to get closer and closer to Him.
Like the body craves food, the mind should crave to know God. Even atheists can sniff that there’s more than what they can see, hear, smell, or touch.

The brain has to satisfy this craving—even if it has to accept a false truth.    

Think about how much God could do through our faith when we continue to grow in Him? Hunger pains lets us know when to eat food; craving more of God lets us know that it’s time to advance to a higher level. Don’t ignore those cravings!

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33)

    The most important question we should ask ourselves:

                                           Am I Still Growing?

Week 161: Read Only - No Action Required?

                        Read Only—No Action Required?

What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? James 2:14 (NIV)

    • Use. . .

    • Utilize. . .

If we treat the Bible like a read-only document, then what’s the point? The Bible offers us much more than a historical outline of nail biting, cliffhanging pursuits and feats. It’s more than a collection of our favorite verses that we love to quote. It’s more than a place to record births, marriages, and deaths.

                         

                       The printed Word is the Living Word!

The Bible gives us a glimpse before time began, and a peek after it ends. But, it’s the span in the middle—that we should pay close attention to. Those are the pages that gives us God’s blueprint for mankind. 

The Bible gives us real-life situations of how people made it against all odds. Those examples are there to teach us about the faithfulness, love, and power of God.

              

                 Faith is more than just another word in the Bible.

By faith; we know God will give us step-by-step instructions, because He gave Noah directions on how to build an ark. By faith; we know not to worry when faced with high-ranking powerful enemies, because God gave Moses the courage to face Pharaoh. By faith; we know if we bring our little to God, He will multiply it just like Jesus did with the five loaves and two fish. 

                    Those accounts are for our edification. 

To put it in a nutshell: The purpose of those old testimonials is to show us how to apply God’s Word to our lives: Today—Right Now! 

To say it another way: If we don’t take the Word as a personal road map for our individual lives, then it will remain as a read-only file. We have to receive revelation that the Word of God is Him talking to us personally—at this moment in time.

I personalize the Scriptures by inserting my name to make God’s promises—His personal vows to me. God will do the same for us as He did for the men and women in the Bible because Jesus Christ is the same today as He was yesterday. (Hebrews 13:8)

                         Faith Does Require Action!

Week 160: Unclaimed Victories!

     Unclaimed Victories!

                                   O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?  Psalm 14:31

         • Untaken. . .

 • Available. . .

    • Unfilled. . .

       When I asked God what to write, that’s when He gave me the idea: unclaimed victories! My response was okay, but how do I start. God told me to start by looking at my own life. That jolt of reality made me take a hard look at what victories have I not claimed? Oh, my goodness!

      Quite often we pray and pray, and keep on praying never having enough faith to go and claim the merchandise. Faith is the claim ticket that is needed to release the goods.

                                           No ticket—No release!    

Worries, fears, and doubts are used to distract us. Those emotions keep our minds on overload so we won’t receive what has already been granted. That’s why it’s important for us to guard our thoughts so we won’t buy into the enemy’s lies of hopelessness and despair. 

A positive mind will let us know, if we prayed in the will of God, then just wait until the manifestation comes. It might take a minute for all the details to be worked out, but we shouldn’t lose our faith in the meantime. (See Week 24: This—Might Take A Minute!)

There is something humbling about waiting before the Lord. It builds a relationship with Him. Instead of it weakening our faith, it strengthens our trust in God. Waiting in the confidence of God proves to the enemy that he doesn’t control our thoughts.  

How to claim your victories:

• Thank God for the victory, before you see the answer.

• Don’t contradict your prayers with negative talk.

• Walk in the confidence of God—that it’s done.

• Do an action(s) to let your mind and the devil know, that you know 
               that it’s done.  

              Take an inventory of the prayers that you have already prayed. Some of them might be waiting on you to claim them. And, the ones that are not answered—yet, look for the small clouds that will tell you they’re on the way. (See Week 151: A Very Small Cloud)

                              Don’t forget to claim your VICTORIES!
