Don’t Sell Your Birthright for a Cup of Soup!

Don’t Sell Your Birthright for a Cup of Soup!

God has a good plan for our lives…
God started a good work in us and will complete it…
Eyes have not seen what God has in store for us…

Esau was a man who got so hungry that he sold his birthright to his brother Jacob for a cup of soup. The story is found in Genesis 25. You might think who would do something so ridiculously irresponsibly crazy?

The same was true with Adam and Eve. Why did they eat from “that” tree? After all, they had a well-supplied garden with everything they needed.

But, when you think about it; are we any different from Adam, Eve, and Esau when we consciously sin? Are we selling our birthright for a cup of soup?

I don’t care if the devil offers a zillion dollars, breath taking thrills, and immeasurable powers. Watch Out! It’s perishable junk with deadly strings attached. The same junk he tried to entice Jesus with, Matthew 4:1-10.

What does it profit a man to gain the world and lose himself? Luke 9:25. Jesus suffered to give us a priceless inheritance when He shed His Blood. The life that God has laid out for His children is better than anything that we could ever imagine.

We have angels watching over us, Psalm 91:11. God will fight for us, Exodus 14:14. He will provide for us, Psalm 23:1. He will give us an abundance of good things, Deuteronomy 28:11. God has healed us, I Peter 2:24. We have the comfort of the Holy Spirit, John 16:7. And, when we leave this world, we go to be with Him in Paradise, II Corinthians 5:8.

Check Your Insurance Policy!

Check Your Insurance Policy!

Thou shall not have no other gods before Me!
Thou shall not make graven images…
                     Thou shall not…

When I die and it turns out that I was wrong to believe in the
Bible, so be it! I didn’t really lose anything. I was just a person who lived their     life trying to please God.

BUT, when a nonbeliever dies and finds out that they were wrong not to believe the Bible, HELLP!!!!!
The IRREVERSIBLE CONSEQUENCES for not serving God are too   great to leave up to chance. There are some beliefs that will TELL YOU about an escape plan AFTER YOU DIE, but the Word of God GIVES YOU an escape plan BEFORE YOU DIE. Check Your Policy because after you die and before you die is a MAJOR discrepancy that can’t be ignored.  Don’t Be Deceived!

There are people, in spite of the way they live their lives, who will tell you that they are a “Christian.” Even though they choose the parts of the Bible they are willing to obey, as if they are selecting candy from a box of assorted chocolates.

It takes an arrogant, deceived, prideful person to think they can change the mind of, “I AM WHO I AM and WHAT I AM, and I WILL BE WHAT I WILL BE,” Exodus 3:14 Amp. “For I am the Lord, I change not…” Malachi 3:6.

A lifetime on earth is too short to waste debating if the Bible is true or not, and too short to dabble into beliefs that contradict God’s Word.
I’m signed up with the Holy Bible’s Insurance Policy.

DECEPTION?

DECEPTION?

• Abracadabra…
• Hocus-pocus…
• PRESTO!!!

Magicians are not the only ones with tricks up their sleeves. It’s hard at times to tell what’s true, and what’s not. Eat this, not that. Take these, not those. Follow us, not them. Trust Me and Sign It!

        TRUSTWORTHY INFORMATION? Hmmm!

Deception is all around us. To escape it is like trying to breathe clean air during a dust storm. Trickery is an effective tool of the enemy. It worked very well on Adam and Eve, and we are not exempt from its influences.

In today’s modern society, we have what is called “information overload.” With all the newspapers, television, Internet, and “expert” advice available; it can be difficult at times to know what to believe. We have to be careful not to open ourselves up to every whim and doctrine that presents itself. We have to monitor the things we let into our mind.

Some people think it’s politically correct to be “Open-Minded.” Well, I like to think that I’m “Select-Minded.” I select what I will open my mind to.

So, should we be troubled about everything that is happening in this hocus-pocus world? How can we tell if it involves us? How can we sort all this out?

Go to God and ask Him, “Is this something I should be concerned about as a Faith Believing Christian?” Purposefully listen to what the Holy Spirit has to say about the situation. Depend on Him to tell you which way to go and who you should trust. Read what He has to say about it in His Word. Wait for God’s Peace about the circumstances.  It takes diligence, and sometimes patience, but it’s worth it to get the TRUTH about a matter from THE ONE WHO KNOWS.

The enemy will soon learn that he can’t Abracadabra us into believing his illegal suggestions (lies) without us first running them pass God.
                                             Think about this:
Suppose Adam and Eve had gone to God before eating the fruit.

DON’T put your trust and faith in magicians; PUT YOUR TRUST AND FAITH IN GOD.
                      Have you been deceived… lately?
