God’s
Showcase
Arise, go thy way:
thy faith hath made thee whole, Luke
17:19.
• Unwavering faith…
• Steadfast faith…
• Doubtless faith…
Every day we are given a chance to Showcase Our Faith. I’m not saying we
have to raise the dead necessarily. Yet, there are other opportunities we face like
trusting God to take care of our daily problems. Whatever the situation, phenomenal
or moderate, it has to be done while we’re inside these bodies described in II
Corinthians 4:7 as earthen vessels.
Our mortal body is a deteriorating
clay pot. In II Corinthians 4:16b it says, “…though
our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed each day by day.” The
contents within: our spirit and the Power of God, are everlasting. Our challenge is to get all this POWER
flowing out of these pots so it can be Showcased.
Throughout the Bible, there are
numerous accounts of how God Showcased His Power using people. Noah had his
turn to showcase his faith when he was ridiculed and made fun of for believing
the unimaginable. Abraham showcased his faith when he had to depend on God for
every step of his unknown journey.
We are encouraged when we read about the fourth
Man in the fiery furnace with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. We are strengthened
by Esther’s determination when she put her life on the line for the cause. And,
we are revived by Jehoshaphat’s unyielding trust in God to deliver.
We love to read about these and other great warriors in the Bible. But, as stimulating as these stories are,
it’s now our turn on the Spindle of Time
to Display our Faith. We Are God’s Showcase for Now.
We are what this skeptical world
needs to see. They need to know that these Bible stories are not myths, but true as demonstrated in our faith today.
Yes, we are just earthen vessels, but
God’s Spirit living on the inside of us is our TREASURE. The Holy Power is just
as POTENT as it was in times past because God is the same today as He was
yesterday, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
We are deteriorating cracked pots.
Nevertheless, God is our Sealer. He sealed the pots and placed His Power
inside. However, we have to use a tiny portion of our faith to believe we have this SURPLUS
of Dynamic Power within.
It’s Our Turn to be in God’s Showcase!
