Building Blocks
…God
hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Romans 12:3b
• Erecting. . .
• Developing. . .
• Assembling. . .
When
building a tower out of blocks, each block is dependent upon previously led blocks
in order for the structure to become taller and stronger. It would be counter-
productive if an old block had to be removed every time a new one was applied.
Faith grows pretty much the same way as building a structure
from blocks. The secret to growing faith is to remember all the past
experiences that God has brought you through. If God did it in the past, He is
faithful to see you through the next time around.
Our faith grows stronger trial by trial!
In II Thessalonians 1:3, Paul told the church in
Thessalonians that their faith and the love that they have for one another was
growing more and more. From this passage we learn that faith can grow and that love
is an important element for its growth.
Writing a weekly blog is God’s clever way to grow my own faith.
He knows I desperately need development in this area. Consequently, writing
about faith keeps it at the forefront of my mind throughout the day.
As a result, God has given me a passion for people
to grow their faith too. I want to share what I have learned about trusting
God, as I learn from others who have gone through what I’m going through. I
want us to operate this valuable gift of faith to the extent that God will
allow.
The way things are happening all around us, the world needs
to see God’s supernatural powers operating on earth. They will see it as our
faith grows stronger and stronger—block by block.
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst
believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. (Mark 9:23)
