No Room
for Worry
That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of
God.
I Corinthians 2:5
• No Vacancies. . .
• Occupied. . .
• In use!
Just
recently I went through a trial that no one knew about—but God. Now here’s the
funny thing about it, as serious as the trial was, and it had all the fixings
for a first class panic attack, there was no space in my mind for worry. I
mean, for me to have worried, I had to have done it purposefully. How insane would
it be to kick peace out, in order to make room for worry? Think about this: If
you were given a platter offering peace and fear, why would you pick-up
fear?
God’s Peace took up all the room in my mind.
Of course the devil tried to inject his illegal suggestions.
However, when a troublesome thought did come to my mind, God put into my
spirit: Why are you so determined to worry? Enjoy My Peace.
God
had to keep reminding me to relax and take advantage of the peace that was
offered. After a few rounds of His reminders, I finally got it! God was right,
of course. Every time I found myself worrying, I noticed that it was totally
unnecessary. As a child of God, we can give our problems to the Almighty.
Peace
I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I
unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John
14:27)
Worrying is a demonic habit.
We’re
not anointed to worry. We’re not good at it. It makes us physically sick, and
mentally incapacitated. The enemy is the only one who benefits from us worrying
because it hinders our faith. Contrary to his lies, we can rest during a storm.
Want to insult the devil? Take this faith challenge.
Faith
Challenge: Let the storm waves rock you to sleep.
And
the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and
minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)
Evict Worry—Give that Room to the Peace of
God.
