Silently Speaking

                                    Silently Speaking

So that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men (human philosophy), but in the power of God. I Corinthians 2:5 (AMP)

• Shhh!
• Hush!
• Listen!

Quiet! Did you hear that? A lady once told me, “Keep quiet, and not only listen to what’s being said, but listen to what’s not being said. You’ll learn a lot.”

People say what they want you to hear, but if you use your faith to listen with your inner ear; you might hear what they’re not telling you. Hidden motives, selfish agendas, insecurities, and fears—YELL OUT in the quietness of silence. Is this an invasion of a person’s privacy? Hmmm! Maybe.

Although, when you listen to a person’s silence, it doesn’t always detect negativity. Strength can be heard in their silence. A strong confident person doesn’t always have to have the last word. Intelligence knows some things don’t credit a verbal response. A peacemaker knows when silence is golden. And, the silence of the meek is restrained POWER.

God is silently speaking to us all the time. The more we pay attention, the more we hear. Sometimes He speaks through nature. Sometimes He speaks through circumstances and situations. And, sometimes God even speaks through the silence of others.
