Week 89: Go Ahead and Launch Your Dreams Part 1

Go Ahead and Launch Your Dreams - Part 1
                                              Shhh!
Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. I Thessalonians 5:24

• Quiet!
• No Talking!
• Zip It!

The best way to destroy your dreams—tell a bunch of folks.

It’s hard enough to deal with your own self-doubts without dragging along other people's doubts. When God gives you a dream, there’s faith to go along with it. Which means the people you tell, might not have the faith to believe that it will come to pass. They don’t necessarily mean any harm, they just can’t see what you see. Then of course, there are those who hope you do fail, and they will aid that process like Joseph’s brothers (Genesis 37:5).

It should not come as a surprise that the devil has placed haters
to try and block the call God has on your life.

It’s their assignment from hell to stop our calling. Just like we have an assignment from God, they have an assignment from the devil. The outcome of this battle is in our hands. Shame on us if we let them succeed. We shouldn’t lose focus on what we should be doing by worrying about who hates us, just know who they are and—Shhh!

This is the time to get closer to God. Confide in Him as your Confidant and Advisor. Lean on Him for Strength. Acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. (Proverbs 3:6) Let God know that you are willing to do the call He has over your life, but at times it’s hard to deal with all the negative voices. He will show you through His Divine Wisdom how to use these people to make you better—not tear you down.

At the appointed time, God will tell you who to tell your dreams to. The right people can offer the support and encouragement you need to carry on. Their assignment will be to speak words that will invoke power. For the rest of them—
                                       Shhh!

Week of 88: ...brought to you by FAITH

. . .brought to you by FAITH
Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not… Matthew 21:21

• Only believe. . .
• Do not doubt. . .
• Unwavering faith. . .

Faith is the key that unlocks the answers to your prayers. It’s the fundamental principle of Christianity—without it you can’t please God. (Hebrews 11:6) As a matter of fact, how can you believe in a God that you can’t see, touch, or smell even exist without faith? Hmmm! Healing, protection, guidance, salvation, finances, comfort, peace, wisdom—
. . .brought to you by FAITH!

Christianity is built on steadfast faith from Genesis through Revelation. If you are a Christian and having problems believing, study faith with intensity. It’s your weapon against the enemy, and the door that leads to the promises of God. This is why I started: Paulette Talks Faith. For a lack of a better term, I want to “crack the faith code.”

The more I think, write, and talk about faith, the more my faith develops. Faith is too important to have a lackadaisical, nonchalant attitude about it. Don’t wait until you are desperate for a miracle to find out that your faith is: Dangerously Low (see writing #84).

Faith is a valuable gift from God. He gave it to us because it’s essential for our survival. How else can we believe we have angels looking out for us? How else can we trust God is leading and guiding us? How else do we know that we are healed? How else do we know not to be terrorized by the enemy? God never expected us to function without faith. I don’t know a Christian who can’t benefit from developing their faith walk.

Remember: The Promises of God are—
. . .brought to you by FAITH.

Week 87: If They Would Only Listen

                               If They Would Only Listen
Faithful is He Who is calling you… I Thessalonians 5:24

• That’s not a good idea. . .
• You might want to rethink that. . .
• Been there—done that!

Sometimes we look at young people and wonder, “Why won’t they listen to us?” At times we might sound controlling and domineering, but all we want to do is help them not to make some of the same mistakes we did. We have a reservoir of experiences, some good and some not so good, that they can profit from. We’re not trying to run their lives. Been there—done that—don’t wanna go back. It’s just that we know what’s ahead. If they would just follow a few suggestions, and take a few tips it could save them from a lifetime of misery—if they would only listen.

We know what can go wrong hanging out with the wrong crowd. We know making a baby is a lifelong commitment. We know marrying the wrong person could turn your life into a living nightmare. We know the problems that could come about driving around without a license or car insurance. We know the burden of having bad credit. And, the most important thing we know:
Sin carries an ENORMOUS price tag called—Consequences.

But, we should understand why young people won’t listen. A lot of times we don’t always listen—to God.

God told us that no one born of Him deliberately practices sin (I John 3:9).  Jesus told us that He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6). God said for us to bring our tithes to the storehouse and that He would open up the windows of heaven (Malachi 3:10). He made it clear that He knows the right path for our lives (Proverbs 3:5-6). He also knows where all the pitfalls are that the enemy has dug. (Psalm 141:9-10) God told us that without faith we cannot please Him (Hebrews 11:6).
God knows how it would profit us—
. . .if we would only listen.
