What Are You Packin’?

                                              What Are You Packin’?

…and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power, that
the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be gloried in you… II Thess. 1:11-12.

     • I can do all things through Christ…
     • There’s nothing too hard for God…
     • If God is for me, who or what can be against me…

When I was about four or five years old, whenever my mother would tell me something that I felt was questionable; I would look at my sister, who was only two years older than me, and say, “Is Mama right?”

As insulting as that was for my mother, we do the same thing when we doubt our capabilities when God has already said in Philippians 4:13, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. We can’t move our lives forward if we don’t know what we can do by Faith through Christ.

For instance, I see talented people all the time, and yet many of them haven’t a clue that they’re Packin’ God given Gifts inside them. Too many see themselves as the “Average Joe” at best. That’s just an illegal suggestion that the devil would love for us to believe.  How can any of us be “average” or below average, when Almighty God created us? Everything God created is Spectacular!!!

If you haven’t already, take an honest look at yourself and ask God,
“What are some of the untapped seeds planted in me? How do I get them growing, or even sprouted?”

I’ve done several writings dealing with the subject of being all we were
created to be. My Passion is for people to operate in their gifts and talents. I really don’t think it’s an option. If God gave them to us, it’s for a special reason. Personally, I want to know all that I’m gifted to do. Why not? I have nothing to lose, but everything to gain, especially at the age I am now.

I no longer say that I’ve wasted time not operating in the fullness of my gifts, because God can still use the time I have left on earth to do some Wonderful things. After all, my times are in His hand, Psalm 31:15. If I live my life looking backwards at what I should have done, then I’ll miss out on what’s ahead. That’s another strategy of the enemy to keep us STUCK. We know God can take all things and work them together for good to and for those who love Him, Romans 8:28.

We can’t fail following God’s Instructions. The only thing for us to do is have FAITH in God and get ready to be Amazed at the Seeds He has Planted on the Inside of Us. So, What Are You Packin’?

Writing Our Life Chapter by Chapter

Writing Our Life Chapter by Chapter
The just shall live by faith, Romans 1:17b.

     • Drama?
     • Mystery?
     • Comedy?
     • Fairytale?

Each event in our life is a chapter in our story. We are the Writers! We have to deal with the hand we were dealt, and still make it the BEST story ever.

It’s remarkable how some people are dealing with situations like; extreme physical impairments, terrible living conditions, unimaginable circumstances, and yet they are living happy fulfilled lives. They realize they are in control of their own happiness, and refuse to give up because of less than “perfect” conditions. On the other hand, there are others with less than perfect lives who gave up and won’t even try. Who’s Writing This?  Hmmmm!

If you don’t think you have enough control over your life to determine how these chapters will go, the devil will be glad to assist and write them for you. He has been working on some plot ideas since your existence.

Warning: He only has one ending: kill, steal, and destroy. Snatch the pen away from him, and write your own story. Because Jesus said, I came that you have and enjoy your life, and have it in abundance, John 10:10.

God has given each of us a good plan for our lives. He didn’t promise our circumstances would be perfect in order to get this good life. The Amazing thing is, our circumstances cannot override God’s plan if we have enough Faith and Trust to follow His instructions.
Once all the chapters are written, how will Your Book Read?

Sit Down & REST!!!

                                                     Sit Down & REST!!!
But without faith it is impossible to please him…Hebrews 11:6a.

• Trust God…
• Believe God…
• Have Faith…

A few writings ago I told you to Stand Up, now I’m telling you to Sit Down. Which is it, Stand Up or Sit Down? Actually both are correct!

Stand Up and be the Real You; Sit Down and Rest in God.

Being seated depicts being in the rest of God. However, resting in God can be difficult. It might be easier to worry about a problem than it is to Sit Down, and Rest in God. It takes no effort to worry. None!

As a matter of fact, the devil will be happy to do all the work for you. He will do all your thinking. He will supply your mind with possible outcomes. You won’t be bored while he’s doing all your work because he will also provide you with round the clock entertainment; fearful images that will run through your head nonstop.

To Trust God to take care of our problems is the Greatest Honor I believe we can show Him. This is what Worship is all about. Our rest comes from the fact that God loves us and that He will work everything out for our good. Not only will this show honor to God, but it’s a Powerful Witness to the world when they see us at rest during hard times. This speaks volumes about Who God is. I guess the phrase “Never let them see you sweat,” can be applied here.

There is Work to be done before we can Rest. When we are Attacked, we should:
Immediately Cast down imaginations and every high thing that exalts against the knowledge of God, and bring into captivity every thought of obedience to Christ, II Cor. 10:5 (paraphrased).
Immediately Change our thoughts. Think on these things:
Whatsoever things are true, pure, lovely, and of good report, Phil. 4:8 (paraphrased).
Immediately Quote Scriptures that will contradict the enemy’s lies.
Immediately Call on the Name of Jesus. There is Power in His name.

No matter what the devil throws, Practice Remaining Calm, Stable, and at Rest in God.  Remember, The World is Watching Your Performance!
