Week of 76: Worry Bearer

                                    Worry Bearer
Have faith in God. Mark 11:22

• Fear not. . .
• Be not afraid. . .
• I will strengthen you…

Jesus paid a huge price so we wouldn’t have to live a life of worry. God did not make our bodies strong enough to handle overloads of anxiety. He didn’t need to because He gave us His Holy Spirit; our Worry Bearer. He said to bring Him all our burdens (Matthew 11:28-30).

The world uses our phobias as a means to control. Just look at the commercials on television. The media exploits our worries and fears for profitable gain. The nightly news is laden with all the disasters and criminal activities that took place that day. And, if by chance we fell asleep and didn’t watch it, don’t worry. While we are drinking our morning coffee, the news will give us an overview of all the grim happenings.

Before we get into any discussions and debates about the troubles in the world, take it straight to God, and receive strength from His Word. For instance, Isaiah 41:10 is a good place to start. If we start talking about the troubles before we pray, our speech might be fear driven.

The problems that we are facing in the world, need our prayers not our fears. The amount of time we spend worrying, is time taken away from praying. We are on earth to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. People in the world will note how we react to problems. Our faith in God is the doorway to our witness. When they see our non-typical reactions to disturbing things, just out of pure curiosity will make them want to know: Why? That’s when we can tell them about our: Worry Bearer.

Week 75: War on Faith

                                        War On  Faith
Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not… Matthew 21:21

• Fear. . .
• Doubt. . .
• Deception. . .

People have asked me, “Why do you talk about the devil so much in your writings?” To be honest with you, I can’t see how I can talk about faith and ignore the one who threatens it. If it weren’t for this opposing negative force, walking in faith would not be such a challenge.

We are in a spiritual war, and our faith is what the enemy is after. Our faith in God is our shield that protects us (Ephesians 6:16). The adversary has to attack that armor. He knows without faith, we can’t please God (Hebrews 11:6).

Think about this: Suppose fear, doubt, and other tools that the enemy uses didn’t compromise our faith. If God says we’re healed, then we know we’re healed without question. If God says He is going to supply our needs, then we know our needs are supplied without any further thoughts. If God says to go after our dreams, then we know nothing can stand in our way. Right?

The devil is not going to roll out the red carpet and cheer us on our faith walk. If anything, he is going to up his game and come after our faith in full force.

My purpose is to expose him, the best I can, for the low-down tricksters that he is. Pull back his curtains of deception, tear down his walls of rip-offs, and uncover his con artist scams. I hope exposing him helps you because it sure helps me to stay alert and on my toes.

Devil, if keeping my readers aware bothers you, Oh well. . .

Week 74: The Seed of Faith

                                      The Seed of Faith
If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed… Matthew 17:20

• Dynamite. . .
• Bombs. . .
• FAITH!

God can pulverize any evil circumstances that would dare come our way if we have the faith like a mustard seed (Matthew 17:20). When the enemy is holding our children captive, or when the enemy has the nerve to touch our bodies, or the body of a loved one, we must hold on and believe God will help us (Isaiah 41:10).

We have to live confidently; knowing that our faith in God’s ability to help is ready to take on any acts working against us. Why not? The devil keeps his tools sharpened and ready. The enemy is watching us 24/7. It’s insanely naïve for us to think we can combat this monster nonchalantly.

Faith in God is Our Power Tool, and He’s watching us 24/7. Our focus must be on God, not on what the devil is doing to us, but on what God is doing through us.

The military spends an enormous amount of money making sure soldiers are not defenseless. God’s Army is well equipped, too. Faith in the hands of a Believer is Highly EXPLOSIVE.
