Week 119: No Room for Worry

                                No Room for Worry
That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
           I Corinthians 2:5

• No Vacancies. . .
• Occupied. . .
• In use!

Just recently I went through a trial that no one knew about—but God. Now here’s the funny thing about it, as serious as the trial was, and it had all the fixings for a first class panic attack, there was no space in my mind for worry. I mean, for me to have worried, I had to have done it purposefully. How insane would it be to kick peace out, in order to make room for worry? Think about this: If you were given a platter offering peace and fear, why would you pick-up fear?

God’s Peace took up all the room in my mind.

Of course the devil tried to inject his illegal suggestions. However, when a troublesome thought did come to my mind, God put into my spirit: Why are you so determined to worry? Enjoy My Peace.

God had to keep reminding me to relax and take advantage of the peace that was offered. After a few rounds of His reminders, I finally got it! God was right, of course. Every time I found myself worrying, I noticed that it was totally unnecessary. As a child of God, we can give our problems to the Almighty.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27)

                            Worrying is a demonic habit.

We’re not anointed to worry. We’re not good at it. It makes us physically sick, and mentally incapacitated. The enemy is the only one who benefits from us worrying because it hinders our faith. Contrary to his lies, we can rest during a storm. Want to insult the devil? Take this faith challenge.

Faith Challenge: Let the storm waves rock you to sleep.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)

Evict Worry—Give that Room to the Peace of God.

Week 118: Street Fight

                                         Street Fight
Fight the good fight of faithI Timothy 6:12
• Free-for-all. . .
• Beat down. . .
• Lay into. . .
                              Have You Heard?
                                Faith Knocked Fear Out!

Boy what a fight! Pressure reached the exploding point. The atmosphere was blanketed with tension. Terror was stalking the night, and arrows were flying by day. Lies spewed out of hell left and right, while the devil pounced unmercifully.

                                      BAM! WHACK! POW!

One word describes a street fight—unpredictable. If you are ever coerced into a brawl, it would benefit you to be a skilled quick thinker. The adversary lurks around ready to attack at any given moment. He loves to scare us out of our wits using our children, our health, and other matters of the heart.

He’ll use any kind of fear he can to put a deadbolt on our minds while he kicks us repeatedly in the guts with his illegal suggestions. He fights lowdown and dirty like any street thug. He launches out when we’re the most vulnerable, hoping that we’re too weak to fight him off. He has only one mission: To kill, steal, and destroy. (John 10:10)
What’s a street fight without a little blood? (smile)
We might be mutilated; barely able to move. That’s okay!

All we need is enough faith to sling the Blood.
Jesus shed His Blood so that we would have power over the enemy. Of course, the devil doesn’t want us to know that. He wants to taunt us with fear.

However, there is nothing for us to fear. Our faith in God overtakes fear.
I Corinthians 10:13 says God will not allow more to come on us than we can bear. That nullifies the devil’s threats. So, the next time the devil wants to pick a fight, remember this: There’s only one rule in a street fight: Use what you got—to hit where it hurts!

Week 117: Heaven's Generator: A Divine Hookup

                        Heaven’s Generator: A Divine Hookup
Now the just shall live by faith: Hebrews 10:38
• Power outage. . .
• Power shortage. . .
• Power down. . .

Whenever there’s a power outage, a generator is a good back-up system to have in our homes and businesses. Without it, our lives are subjected to the inconveniences caused by no electricity.

At times, the personal troubles in our lives can put us in the dark as well. However, it’s wonderful to know that we have a divine hookup that will connect us to the Light during our darkest trials. I know this to be true because when my son’s father died, unexpectedly I might add, it caused an emotional BLACKOUT!

I knew this was perhaps the most heartrending challenging time in which Harry had ever endured. I knew I had to be strong and supportive for him. Even though he seemed to have been on better footing than me.

I appeared to be solid and heavy-duty ready, but on the inside I was drained. I told God that I didn’t have the strength to pray the prayer that was in my heart.

That was when God spoke these words into my spirit: Go somewhere quiet, and just sit in My Presence. You don’t have to say a word. Depend and lean on your past prayers. Now is the time to use your faith, and trust Me to care for you, and Harry. Heaven’s Generator will hook you up with all the energy that you need.

Looking back, I can see that we didn’t miss a beat. Harry and I were able to do every task that God put in front of us to do. I know it was God’s strength that held us up. Once again, God proved His faithfulness in our lives.

My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
II Corinthians 12:9.

It’s comforting to know that in our darkest hour:
                             Heaven’s Generator is On!
