Spirit Pollution

                                                   Spirit Pollution
Be alert and on your guard; stand firm in your faith…I Cor. 16:13 Amp.

• Water pollution…
• Air pollution…
• Land pollution…

Most people take precaution against invasions; whether it’s home, auto, body, and even against one’s own identity. However, there’s another invasion that is many times over looked; spirit invasion. Another way to say it: Spirit Pollution.

It is EXTREMELY important that we guard our inner spirit. Protecting   and developing it is what our earth experience is all about. If we mess this up, well...

God is a Spirit and we are a spirit. God communicates to us through our spirit. If there is pollution of some sort clogging our communication system, then that’s a HUGE problem that must not be tolerated by any means.

So, how does one’s spirit become polluted? Actions that we take that is contrary to God’s Word can pollute our spirit. For this writing, I’m going to concentrate on just one way that will cause contamination:
Having a Wrong Mindset about People.

In Matthew 19:19 it says, we are to love one another. However, if we expose our spirit to gossip, jealousy, envy, and covertness, just to name a few, we will make it harder to have a godly opinion about people.

The enemy knows gossip can be an irresistible temptation. Many times the way it is presented makes it more intriguing, “Want to hear some juicy gossip?”  Even if we just listen and not say a word, our spirit is still being polluted. Can you be in a room filled with cigarette smoke and not smell like cigarettes?

Some people will even spiritualize gossip by saying, I’m just telling you so you will better know how to pray. Hmmm!

Another way to have a wrong mindset about people is to think a person doesn’t like you, so therefore, you feel they are out to harm you or sabotage your efforts. This is a waste of human thought. If you don’t’ want your spirit polluted, then trust the Word of God. The Word says, if God is on your side, what can man do to you? Psalm 118:6. As far as someone not liking you, that’s their privilege.

Do you want to have some FUN and get BLESSED all at the same time?  Just show love to people who don’t, in your opinion, deserve it. You might be thinking, that doesn’t sound like any fun. That’s because it’s a secret that the devil doesn’t want people to know about.  LOVE ACTIVATES FAITH!

On this same note, we have to be careful not to tell someone else that a person doesn’t like us. That might pollute their spirit about the person, and they might even think ill of us for telling them.

This is not a full spectrum of ways our spirit can become polluted by no means, but only a reminder to be watchful and prayerful, Ephesians 6:18. We must stand guard against Spirit Pollution, and let the devil know:
My spirit is not a Dumping Ground for Your Junk.
