Imagination

                                       Imagination
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)

• Dream …
• Envision …
• Imagine That!

Imagination is a tool given to us from God. I call it a tool because it performs a function. It’s used to open our minds to endless possibilities. It all   starts with a thought. It develops into a vision of what God wants us to do on earth. God plants colossal desires in our hearts. Those desires can take us far beyond our range of reality. Our imagination is the tool that gives us a glimpse of what could be. If we can imagine it, that’s the first step to bringing it into existence. I’m sure David imagined himself defeating Goliath beforehand (I Samuel 17).

We shouldn’t brush off that big far-fetched idea, and think there’s no way it can be done. God already knows our limitations, and yet He wants us to do, what we might think is, the impossible. We can’t honestly believe that it was David’s abilities that brought that giant down. The same power that worked through David, is the same power that will work for us. All God wants is a human body to work through. Let’s “loan” (for the sake of a better word) out our bodies for God to use. We supply the drive, and He will supply the power.

I’m in the middle of doing something that is beyond my intellectual capacity. Through my imagination I see Paulette Talks Faith impacting and ministering to the world. That might sound easy to some, but it’s hard for me. My skills are not in marketing. This is a tailor-made challenge. I’m doing what I’m telling you to do: Step out on God’s ability to lead and guide. Use His power and wisdom.

I heard that the dreams that challenge us the most are more than likely from God. I think it’s designed that way so that we know, and everybody else will know, God made it possible. We had to depend on Him to do it.

Whatever you are pursing imagine yourself in that setting. Let your imagination go wild. No reason to be embarrassed because no one knows what you’re thinking. Even though I just exposed myself to you.
When you finish imagining what you want, say to God, “If this is Your will, tell me what You want me to do?”

Whatever instructions He gives you, do them. God said in Matthews 19:26, all things are possible with Him.
