Week 105: Start Where You Are and Use What Cha Got!

Start Where You Are and Use What Cha Got!
For we walk by faith, not by sight. II Corinthians 5:7

• Just start. . .
• When?. . .
• Right now—TODAY!

Having a hard time getting started on that special project you’ve been putting off for years? Not sure if you have the wherewithal to pull it off? Hmmm! Well, my advice is to start where you are and use what cha got. Don’t be tricked  into thinking that you have to wait for ideal circumstances before you can make this "thing" come true.

Ask God: Is this something that you want me to do? If He gives you the greenlight, then start with the little that you have in front of you: a sheet of paper, a nail, a comb, or an empty cardboard box. In time, your faith will fill in the missing pieces.

If you are not sure if you have God’s okay about this, then pray and make some movement in the desired direction. God knows that you are depending on Him to stop you dead in your tracks if you are headed in the wrong direction.

                                          Think about this:
God’s resources might be waiting for you to take the first few steps of FAITH.

Your faith will develop as you trust God to supply your needs. You can read countless reports in the Bible on how God’s people triumphed with little or nothing to work with.

• Moses asked God, Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh? (Exodus 3:11)
• God told Gideon to go defeat an army that was way beyond his human
  strength. (Judges 6:14)
• When the apostle Paul was ship wracked, the crew made it on planks
  and broken pieces. (Acts 27:42)
• Jesus multiplied two fish and five loaves of bread, and fed thousands.
  (Luke 9:10-17)
                                        Get my point?
As a matter of fact, I think if things are too perfect we might be tempted to take God’s glory; slap a label on it, and sell it as one of our own bright ideas.

Don’t be discouraged when your dreams are derailed. Usually, well written stories are spiced up with a few close calls, tight squeezes, and narrow escapes. These cliffhanging experiences are the ingredients that will make the plot thrilling and exciting.

So, just start where you are—so God can use what you got!
