Week 108: Uh-Check Yourself!

                              Uh—Check Yourself!
O Love the Lord, all ye his saints: for the Lord preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer. Psalm 31:23

It’s okay to do this. . .
It’s okay to do that. . .
God knows my heart!

Do you remember that infamous look that your mother would give you when you were acting up, “Uh—You Need to Check Yourself?”

I wonder does God give us that same look. Just because something is okay by the world’s standards, doesn’t necessarily mean it meets God’s approval. His Word is the same today, as it was yesterday. (Hebrews 13:8)

Can Conformity, Compromise Us Out of God’s Will?

We have to decide, “Which side of the spectrum do we stand?” We can’t have it both ways. Daniel’s allegiance was with God. Under great hardship, he refused to yield in order to conform to the world’s immoralities. (See the book of Daniel)

There’s so much compromising among “Christians.” I hope I’m not speaking out of turn, but some of the things I read and hear on social media leaves me baffled. The scary part is that many of them have no idea how far they have slipped away from God’s Word. Complacency is the hypnosis the devil uses to dull the senses of right and wrong.

If we ever find ourselves in a compromising situation,
                    Uh—We Need to Check Ourselves!
