New Year’s Resolutions 2014

New Year’s Resolutions 2014

• I’m going to start exercising...
• I’m going to start eating right…
• I’m going to start saving money…

Have you made your New Year’s Resolutions yet? They do serve a purpose you know. Besides being a whole lot of fun to make, they give you HOPE. And, HOPE and FAITH are linked together.

Every so often you need to take an in depth inventory of your life. See if you are making progress, or STUCK in a hole. The start of a new year is a good time to reflect.

However, New Year’s Resolutions have gotten a bad reputation.  More people fail to keep them than not. If this is your challenge, below are some tips that might help you to be more successful.

1.      Pray for directions. This is MAJOR. Let God help you make decisions about the New Year. He knows exactly what you need to do to make 2014 a Positive Memorable year.

2.      Don’t bite off more than you can chew at a time. The Old Adage: How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. Accomplish small goals that will lead you in the direction of your final destination. However, YOU DO HAVE TO TAKE THAT FIRST BITE!

3.     Applaud yourself for every small accomplishment along the way. This is a good motivational strategy to keep you hopeful. There is no such thing as losing because with each attempt you make, there is some positive gain.

4.     Don’t wait for someone else to validate your accomplishments. If people don’t say what you want to hear, you could become uninspired. This could be a trick of the enemy to get you off course. Use your FAITH and INSPIRE YOURSELF.

I know if you team up with God, and allow His Power, His Wisdom, and His Love to work through you, 2014 is going to be a MIND-BLOWING, MIND-BOGGLING, AMAZING YEAR.
