Week 79: Don't Settle for Good

                           Don't Settle for Good
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

• It’s okay . . .
• It’s nice. . .
• It’s good enough. . .

Why settle for good when you can have God’s BEST? Hmmm! You can pretty much tell when you are settling. There’s a restlessness in your spirit that lets you know, “I can do better.”
                      WARNING: Don’t ignore that uneasiness!

However, you can talk yourself into believing good is okay. It’s nice. It’ll be just fine. After all, good is good. Right?

So, what stops many of us from God’s Best when we know we are settling? I’m sure there are many reasons. I can think of four illegal suggestions right off.

(1). Fear – Can’t do any better.
(2). Undeserving – Don’t deserve any better.
(3). Impatient – Gotta have it NOW!
(4). Tired/Slothfulness – The best will take too much effort.

Though, there are those times when you really can’t tell what’s best. Why play the guessing game? The Holy Spirit will help you not to compromise, cut yourself short. Ask Him, “Should I take this, or wait for something better?” When you go to God with a sincere heart of wanting His guidance, you have to know by faith that He will lead you. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

                   Good works———————for a while.
Wouldn’t you rather have God’s BEST?
