Week 80: How to Win a Spiritual Fight

How to Win a Spiritual Fight
Fight the good fight of faithI Timothy 6:12
• Love. . .
• Mercy. . .
• Reconciliation. . .

It’s not your fight—so don’t get in the middle of it. Take cover in the Secret Place. (Psalm 91) The battle belongs to the Lord. (II Chronicles 20:15) When we are serving God, the enemy will attack us trying to get to God’s Kingdom.

Let God Win the Battle for You.

One of the hardest things for us to do is resist using physical/emotional weapons to fight a spiritual war. Our physical/emotional weapons only hurt us—they are ineffective to the real enemy. He’s somewhere laughing while we waste our energy and blessings trying to attack him. Spiritual fights must be fought spiritually.

It takes faith for us to let God fight our battles. We have to listen to His Commands, and do whatever He says. If we don’t, we’re taking our orders from the enemy. It’s our choice! But tell me, why would the adversary give us advice that would do him harm? We know he’s not to be trusted. He will give us a feather to scratch an itch. He’s not going to tell us that the feather will tickle the itch even more. When we follow his commands, we are amusing him.
